CHAMP is one of Zambia's leading HIV implementing organizations, providing HIV & other health related services and support to a wide variety of workplaces and communities.

U-Report aims to revolutionize the HIV response among adolescents and young people through the use of SMS. NAC in partnership with UNICEF & CHAMP developed the U-Report platform. It is a free of charge and youth friendly SMS platform which uses an opt-in registration on all mobile networks by adolescents. CHAMP is looking to recruit a U-Report Knowledge Bank Consultant based in Lusaka & three (3) U-Report Youth engagement Leads one based in Lusaka and the other based in Kitwe.


The Knowledge Bank Consultant will contribute to expanding of the current learning centre knowledge bank, with the aim of collecting ,compiling & publishing common questions that 990 Callers & U-Reporters would like responses to through voice & SMS platforms. This will run for 2 months from start date.

  • Minimum diploma in health sciences or related fields.
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in NGO, local government or UN agencies, preferably on health projects.
  • Experience in one of the following
(1) preparing technical documents
(2) answering technical inquiries
(3) Library and information management.
  • Preferred experience of applying ICT (information communications technology) to knowledge management.


The three Youth Engagement Leads will work with the CHAMP Youth programs Manager providing support in recruiting , organizing ,training and managing the UReport mobilization teams in the respective provinces-Lusaka , Copperbelt and North Western (Solwezi) ,they will work in both rural and urban areas in all Provinces.

  • Minimum of grade 12 certificate.
  • A keen interest in working with adolescents and other youths.
  • Experience in at least one of the following
(1) Management over a team or club of no less than 4 members.
(2) Budgeting
(3) Relationship building with key stakeholder (Government / Traditional / Religious etc.)
  • Proficient in windows Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
