CHAMP was established as a not for profit organisation in 2002, to respond to the growing need for corporate HIV / AIDS programmes within Zambia. Initially CHAMP focused on private and public sector organisations workplace policies and programmes, giving particular emphasis on care, support and access to treatment. After working with key businesses within the country, a strategic and innovative mo del was developed that was then used as a baseline for other business partners. CHAMP started with an initial staff of 2 and with its success has grown to a team of over 70 staff. CHAMP Services Limited currently has vast experience and technical know-how on successful implementation of USAID and other partner projects.

With a high percentage of our staff being medically qualified, CHAMP has been able to bridge the knowledge gap regarding issues of living with HIV/'AIDS and HIV care and support and reap the successes of working with communities that understand the need for preventive health care and knowing their HIV status. CHAMP's expertise has been adapted to a number of business sectors including the mining, agribusiness, financial and services sectors.

We have also become recognised as a leading co-operating partner project implementer within Zambia. Champ is proud of its ability to adapt and create innovative approaches to suit its varied clients and partners. By encouraging its staff to think outside the box, CHAMP has been able to achieve enviable results and is a leader in the field of HIV/AIDS in Zambia.

With an emphasis on building knowledge in all areas of HIV and adding service delivery to a population that understands the needs and benefits of accessing these services, CHAMP has developed models for the implementation of a wide variety of services that include awareness training and capacity building, fixed and mobile counseling and testing and mobile HIV treatment provision. Our vision is to be "a sustainable, vibrant learning organisation in the delivery of health systems and services embracing partnerships with organisations and communities".
